PMHNP Preceptorship at Growing Light Mental Wellness

Growing Light Mental Wellness is committed to training the next generation of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs). Our preceptorship program provides students with meaningful, hands-on clinical experiences in a supportive, patient-centered telehealth environment.

Who We Accept
We welcome PMHNP students from accredited nursing programs who are seeking high-quality clinical placements. Students must be in good academic standing, demonstrate professionalism, and show a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care.

What You Will Learn

  • Conducting psychiatric evaluations via telehealth

  • Developing and implementing treatment plans

  • Medication management and supportive psychotherapy

  • Documentation, coding, and compliance in outpatient psychiatry

  • Integrating holistic, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed care

  • Understanding practice management and patient engagement in a private practice model

Program Structure
Preceptorships are structured around the student’s program requirements and individualized learning goals. Students gain exposure to child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry while working closely with experienced PMHNPs. Requirement: RN License in Massachusetts

Expectations

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

  • Attend scheduled clinical hours reliably and punctually

  • Engage actively in patient care under supervision

  • Demonstrate professionalism and cultural humility

  • Participate in case discussions, supervision, and feedback sessions

Rates & Pricing
We provide flexible preceptorship options to fit student schedules and program requirements.

  • Standard Rate: $8 per clinical hour

  • Administrative/Documentation Support: Included at no extra cost
