Follow-ups

Follow-up psychiatry sessions provide ongoing mental health care to monitor your progress, adjust medications when needed, and ensure your treatment plan continues to support your well-being. These appointments include medication management and supportive therapy, allowing time to discuss symptoms, life stressors, coping strategies, and emotional concerns in a supportive, judgment-free space.

  • We offer ADHD evaluations and ongoing treatment, including medication management when clinically appropriate. Care also includes education, organization strategies, and supportive guidance.

  • It uses your genetic information to help guide psychiatric medication decisions. This test can identify how your body may metabolize certain medications, which can help reduce trial-and-error, minimize side effects, and support more personalized treatment planning.

PGx testing is a cheek swab or saliva test and is often used to inform decisions related to antidepressants, mood stabilizers, antipsychotics, and ADHD medications. Results are reviewed with you and integrated into your overall psychiatric care plan.

Important note: Pharmacogenomic testing is a clinical decision-support tool. It does not replace clinical judgment and does not determine a diagnosis on its own.

Who May Benefit From PGx Testing

    • Individuals who have had side effects or limited benefit from psychiatric medications

    • Patients who have tried multiple medications without improvement

    • Those seeking a more personalized approach to medication management

    • Individuals starting or adjusting long-term psychiatric medications

What PGx Testing Can Help With

    • Identifying medications you may metabolize too quickly or too slowly

    • Highlighting potential geneโ€“drug interactions

    • Supporting safer medication selection and dosing

    • Reducing unnecessary medication changes

    What to Expect

    1. A brief discussion to determine if PGx testing is appropriate

    2. Simple cheek swab or saliva collection

    3. Results typically available within 1โ€“2 weeks (varies by lab)

    4. Review of results during a follow-up appointment

    5. Integration into your medication management plan with supportive therapy

    Insurance & Cost Considerations
